Job Summary
Greet clinic patients, families, and visitors while performing check-in functions that include verifying demographics, insurance eligibility, and collecting copays. Execute check-out duties by scheduling follow-up appointments, providing documentation, and establishing payment plans. Manage incoming telephone calls by screening, directing, and documenting messages in the Electronic Health Record. Maintain schedule accuracy for maximum patient flow and assist with complex appointment coordination. Educate patients on financial assistance programs and guide them to MyChart. Keep the reception area organized and stocked. Work Monday through Saturday, including one late night shift per week, with compensation dependent on skills and experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write basic correspondence such as memos
- Basic operating knowledge of computers
- Beginning level of Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proof of vaccination for COVID-19
- Proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
- Proof of immunizations and/or immunity to Varicella
- Proof of annual Influenza immunization
- Proof of TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer
- Tdap (within last 10 years)
- Hepatitis B
- Maintain good attendance
- Is punctual
- Works full scheduled shift
- Demonstrate respectful, professional, and appropriate behavior that supports a team-oriented work environment

- Attending staff and in-service meetings
- Participating in committees and task force activities
