Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative will serve as the main point of contact for patients at the Occupational Health offices in Howland and Boardman, handling patient referrals, registration, demographics verification, insurance cards, and medical records updates. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, transcribing orders, explaining financial options to patients, and ensuring accurate admission paperwork and billing workflow. Requires strong communication and customer service skills to greet patients professionally, troubleshoot issues, maintain patient flow, and coordinate with supervisors on department needs. Education: High School Degree or GED is required; an Associate's degree in Healthcare or related field is preferred. Experience with medical billing procedures, medical office software, and knowledge of medical terminology and basic ICD-9 and CPT coding are important considerations.
