Job Summary

Greets and provides guidance to all Howard Brown Health visitors with professionalism and creates customer loyalty. Notifies staff of visitors, takes messages, and provides basic referral information within training. Screens patients and visitors for infectious diseases (COVID-19, MPV) by taking temperatures and asking screening questions. Records demographic, billing, and insurance information into the EMR system. Conducts financial assessments for Sliding Fee. Verifies insurance benefits for new and current patients. Collects payments at time of visit. Schedules appointments and manages patient flow. Ensures compliance with PPE regulations and policies. Provides excellent customer service and answers client questions. Maintains registration processes in the EMR and supports billing. Develops familiarity with program funding and communicates eligibility requirements. Participates in quality assurance and improves processes. Maintains efficient patient flow and smooth check-in/out, and supports travel between centers.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent is required for all levels.
