Job Summary
Patient Services Representative for Gastroenterology to manage front office operations including patient registration, insurance verification and pre-certification, billing and coding (ICD-9/CPT), posting payments, accounts reconciliation, and communications between patients and medical staff. Responsibilities include handling insurance claims, advising on financial agreements, collecting payments, posting charges, maintaining patient accounts, scheduling surgeries/appointments, updating patient profiles, protecting confidentiality, and delivering courteous patient service while coordinating with medical assistants and staff to ensure accurate, timely revenue-cycle activities and patient flow.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent OR Post-high school diploma
- No previous experience required. Multi-specialty group practice setting experience preferred
