Job Summary
Ensure new and existing patients' registration and scheduling needs are met by completing forms, entering data into the EPIC EHR system, and verifying insurance coverage. Collect patient fees, field calls regarding billing and cancellations, and provide good faith estimates before appointments. Scrub charts for upcoming visits, call patients for reminders, and assist with credentialing while adhering to Waterfall Community Health Center's mission to remove barriers to care. This floater role requires traveling between five clinics to cover absent staff, with mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention Comprehensive training class completed within 6 months of hire and recertify prior to the expiration date
- Current American Health Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Card (BLS) or within 6 months of hire
- TB (test upon hire)
- Able to lift 15 pounds occasionally
- Travel between Clinics
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in health care, customer service, or public relations preferred
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft office software
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving and organizational skills
- Understanding of labor law and employment equity regulations
