Job Summary
Greet and assist patients in a welcoming front-office environment; register new patients and those re-entering care; verify demographics and guarantor information; identify patients needing program assistance and coordinate with the Care Coordinator Specialist for enrollment; answer phones and return messages promptly; schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments; ensure correct insurance is applied for services; check in/out patients and maintain accurate patient panels; assist patients with MyChart enrollment and communication; use tablets to collect demographic information and ensure accurate EHR documentation; verify insurance eligibility and scan registration materials; respond to website inquiries; process Release of Information and collect co-pays; monitor no-shows and communicate with providers; coordinate referrals and linkage to internal/external resources; keep supervisors informed of office equipment maintenance; perform other duties as assigned; required skills include HIPAA-compliant patient-centered service, MS Office, EHR proficiency, strong communication, and bilingual Spanish/English preferred; 1 year medical front-office experience preferred and current BLS certification.
