Job Summary
Manage the patient check-in and check-out process, verify demographics and insurance information, collect specified co-pays and payments, screen for eligibility and financial assistance, process referrals and authorizations for specialty services, schedule appointments and send reminders, respond to billing inquiries, and perform general clerical duties. Maintain accurate Electronic Health Record entries, demonstrate strong customer service, work independently or in a team, and leverage basic medical terminology. The role requires flexibility in a fast-paced healthcare setting with bilingual English/Spanish abilities preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
- 1 – 3 years of experience related to administrative/clerical support, or customer service required
- Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
