Patient Services Representative-Eye

Coordinate daily clinic preparation including patient identification, check-in/out, charge posting, cash management, and appointment scheduling. Manage incoming patient care requests, referrals, and work queue activities while taking and delivering messages to physicians and nurses. Report medical information from patients and referring physicians accurately and in a timely manner. Handle phone calls and messages according to practice communication standards. Initiate and secure prior authorizations as needed. Maintain proficiency in insurance coverage rules, eligibility, network coverage, and benefits. Complete mandatory insurance training and ongoing competency refreshers.
