Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative – Care-A-Van serves as the first point of contact for patients and the community, handling registration, demographics verification, insurance verification, patient identification, scheduling, and processing of admissions. Responsibilities include explaining financial options to patients, updating medical records accurately, assisting with referrals and follow-up scheduling, assisting patients with online scheduling and MyChart, obtaining necessary referrals and authorizations when applicable, and supporting other physician practice locations as needed. The role emphasizes strong customer service, accurate data entry, and coordination with revenue-cycle activities to maintain patient flow and timely payments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Prior experience in patient registration/healthcare (preferred)
