Job Summary
Greets and checks in patients, assists patients in filling out forms, answers phones and routes messages, develops and updates patient charts, enters information into charts, schedules appointments, collects co-payments, and performs general office duties while maintaining confidentiality. The role supports a cardiology clinic environment and requires strong medical terminology knowledge, health-insurance understanding, and desktop computer skills; EPIC experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
- Post high school coursework in Medical Terminology and/or Office Assistant is appropriate.
- Must have a working knowledge of medical terms and health insurance.
- Must possess strong desktop computer skills.
- Experience with EPIC is preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical setting is preferred.
