Job Summary
Welcome patients, check them in, and complete registration by verifying demographics, insurance, and collecting service payments. Handle insurance verifications, authorizations, and signed consent forms, then scan pertinent information into the patient's record. Manage incoming calls, messages, and faxes, routing them to appropriate departments, while maintaining computer appointment scheduling and coordinating nurse, physician, and patient time. Direct patients to ancillary services as needed. Work primarily days with possible weekends, evenings, or holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED Equivalent
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- ability to communicate effectively with others
- ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- ability to work the hours specified
