Job Summary
Patient Services Representative provides front-line administrative and customer service support to ensure a positive, efficient patient experience. Responsibilities include greeting and scheduling patients, handling patient communication with providers, processing documentation, updating demographics and insurance information, complying with HIPAA, posting payments, and supporting clinic operations with accurate records and organized filing. This role requires professional communication, attention to confidentiality, proficiency with EHR systems and scheduling software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a medical or healthcare office setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and standard office procedures
- Proficiency with EHR systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach
