Job Summary
Collect specimens including drug screens, blood samples, and pathology/cytology processing while verifying orders via lab technology systems. Accurately complete data entry for patient registration, test orders, and billing information, ensuring proper specimen labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing. Safeguard assets and credit card data during payment collection, and maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature records. Perform clerical duties such as inventory management, phone answering, and monthly statistics submission while complying with all departmental policies and procedures. Requires phlebotomy certification, one year of experience, and ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts with reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license
- Clean driving record, if applicable
- Reliable transportation
- Phlebotomy certification (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Desired Qualifications
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- One year phlebotomy experience preferred
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred
- Keyboard/data entry experience
- Phlebotomy certification (Preferred in general, required in CA, NV, WA)
