Job Summary
Assist the professional team in patient care, decontamination of care areas and equipment, and maintaining good public relations with patients, visitors, and staff. Liaise regularly with patients and visitors while demonstrating excellent customer service. Participate as a team member reflecting the Hospital's philosophy of service. This role requires a PSW Certificate or completed Sunnybrook PSP course, recent PSP experience, and an Infection Prevention and Control Certificate. Candidates must have at least two years of related healthcare experience, be accustomed to high patient acuity, and possess excellent communication skills. Full-time or part-time scheduling options are available.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 11 or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario Ministry of Education
- PSW Certificate or completed the Sunnybrook PSP (formerly PSA) course
- Recent PSP experience
- Infection Prevention and Control Certificate
- Ability to read and write English
- Two (2) years of related health care experience
- Must be accustomed to high patient acuity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to handle various tasks within a limited time frame
- Flexibility and willingness to take direction
- Must have attended WHMIS training
- Must be prepared and able to use all personal protective equipment
