Job Summary
Process elective and emergency patient bookings, conduct health fund eligibility checks and estimates, and manage preadmission organization, admission, discharge, and bed allocations. Respond promptly to enquiries and requests, handle patient accounts, and perform general administrative duties including data entry. Work in various admission areas across Richmond and Hawthorn, adhering to a seven-day roster operating from 0600hrs to 2000hrs with flexibility for rotating shifts. Prioritize multiple requirements accurately under pressure while maintaining strong customer service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Administration experience gained within a service industry
- The ability to work a variety of shifts across the weekly roster
- Strong computer literacy
- The ability to cope under pressure and make informed decisions according to hospital needs
- The ability to prioritise in a timely and accurate manner
- Having excellent communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A strong customer service focus
- The ability to prioritise effectively to manage multiple requirements

Desired Qualifications

- Experience in IPM or similar health systems software
