Job Summary
Assists patients with menu selections, handles accurate cash and charge transactions, assembles and delivers trays and nourishment, provides catering for events, logs temperatures as required, and maintains sanitation of the department. Responsibilities include stocking storerooms, tray assembly/delivery, cleaning, and meeting physician diet orders; ring up customer sales on cash register and balance cash drawer; may travel to other Carilion facilities as needed; benefits and onboarding information provided; sign-on bonus offered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One or more years of food service experience preferred
- SERV-SAFE Certification or equivalent certification from the Virginia Health Department or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire date for employees in charge of departmental operations
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
