Patient Services Coordinator

Job Summary
Schedules and registers patients for the outpatient clinic; verifies patient eligibility and ensures pre-authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications are obtained by coordinating with physician offices, Utilization Review, and the Business Office. Requires knowledge of basic medical terminology and strong customer service skills; familiarity with insurance concepts and ability to read insurance cards and benefit details. Preferred: background in government/state patient assistance programs, ICD-10 and CPT coding, strong computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office). Performs additional duties as assigned; may be on-call and travel between campus facilities as needed. The role is non-exempt and located in Bristow, VA.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of clerical experience in medical office setting
