Job Summary
As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, the Patient Services Coordinator manages front desk operations, appointment coordination, billing and insurance questions, patient information updates, and payment processing. The role supports clinic staff with administrative tasks, ensures HIPAA/compliance, maintains a patient-friendly front desk and waiting area, and helps drive patient satisfaction and retention through effective communication and service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- associate degree preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare or front office setting preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Proficiency in basic computer programs and electronic communication (email, fax, etc.)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Pass a criminal background check
