Job Summary
Develop care plans, coordinate patient care services, and consult with healthcare providers to ensure patients receive necessary medical treatment. Evaluate patient progress, assist with securing funding, and coordinate activities including insurance verification, pre-certification, scheduling, and order transmission. Maintain statistics and act as a liaison between clinical testing sites and offices to maximize reimbursement and reduce denials. This part-time day shift role (8am-12pm or 12pm-4pm) at Sentara Belleharbour Sleep Center requires a high school graduate with previous healthcare experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad or Equivalent
- Previous healthcare experience
Desired Qualifications
- Two years experience in a healthcare environment
- Completion of a healthcare related certificate program
- Associate's Degree or higher
- Transferable skills such as 1 year or more in a call center, customer service position, etc
