Job Summary
As a Patient Services Coordinator at LUX Infusion in Anchorage, AK, you will create a welcoming, organized patient experience within the Ambulatory Infusion Center. You’ll support scheduling, check-in/check-out, patient communication, insurance-related administrative coordination, and front-office readiness. You will serve as a non-clinical point of contact for patient questions and requests, route clinical concerns to licensed team members, assist with registration, authorization tracking, and documentation, maintain accurate patient information in the EMR, and collaborate with nursing staff, providers, intake personnel, clinic leadership, and referring offices to ensure smooth visits. The role emphasizes hospitality, service recovery, and process improvement to enhance the patient journey. You should bring warmth, professionalism, and strong follow-through to patient interactions, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a healthcare setting and to communicate clearly and empathetically. The position requires on-site presence in Anchorage, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time, with a pay range of $22-$26 USD per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in medical reception or patient-facing front-office coordination
- Scheduling and administrative coordination in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with patient registration, insurance verification, benefits coordination, and authorization tracking
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong communication, empathy, and ability to escalate clinical concerns to licensed team members
- Ability to maintain confidential patient information and support a calm, organized patient environment
- Collaborative teamwork with nursing staff, providers, and clinic leadership
- Attention to detail and follow-through in administrative duties
- Comfort balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting
