Job Summary
Patient Services Coordinator for Food & Nutrition coordinating and supervising daily food service operations, ensuring adherence to therapeutic diets, HACCP and food safety standards, managing meal tray delivery, cash handling, and communicating with patients and staff. The role involves directing staff in the absence of managers, coordinating with Nutrition Services and MercyOne North Iowa, and supporting catering functions while maintaining department policies and HIPAA compliance. Requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to change; preferred 3 years of food service experience with supervisory experience and basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3 years' experience in food service required
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform detailed assignments, follow directions, work under pressure, and readily adapt to change in routine and work assignments
- Proven leadership skills
- Basic computer skills preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years
