Job Summary
AltaMed Patient Services Advocate II greets and attends to patients at the front desk, delivering a positive front-office experience while supporting the care team with effective communication and problem-solving. This role acts as an ambassador, helping manage patient expectations and coordinating with the healthcare team to deliver patient-focused care in a clinic serving diverse communities in Los Angeles/Orange County. Strong emphasis on customer service, bilingual communication (English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese strongly preferred), and compassionate support for patients. This is a temporary position with responsibilities focused on welcoming patients, assisting in scheduling and navigation, and contributing to a respectful, inclusive patient experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience as a customer service agent, greeter, or receptionist (preferred)
- BLS certification or higher (AHA/Red Cross guidelines)
- Bilingual strongly preferred: English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese
