Job Summary
As a Patient Services Advocate II (Temp) for AltaMed, you will welcome and attend to patient needs to create a positive front office experience and manage expectations with compassion and respect. You will function as a member of the health care team to support patient-focused care through excellent communication and problem-solving, serving underserved communities and contributing to a welcoming clinic environment. The role emphasizes frontline patient interactions, scheduling and coordination, and collaboration with clinical staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service. Key responsibilities include delivering courteous front desk service, assisting patients with inquiries, coordinating with care teams, and leveraging bilingual abilities (English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese) to strengthen patient communication. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, and 1-2 years of customer service experience is preferred, with BLS certification or higher required per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience as a customer service agent, greeter, or receptionist- preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese strongly preferred
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following AHA or American Red Cross guidelines
