Patient Service Specialist - Cardiology - Full Time

Greet every patient in a courteous, professional, and timely manner while answering telephones, taking messages, and providing information. Schedule and maintain all patient appointments electronically, verify patient information, and assign B# / MRN to new patients. Register patients by reviewing, verifying, and correcting demographic and insurance information, scanning cards into the confidential medical record, and verifying eligibility for major insurance carriers including New York and Pennsylvania Medical Assistance. Inform, quote, and collect copayments, deductibles, deposits, or unpaid balances at registration, perform daily cash-out and balancing, and act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and organizational departments. Prioritize daily tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict HIPAA confidentiality.
