Patient Service Representative

Job Summary
Greet patients, manage front office operations, and check individuals in for appointments. Answer phone calls, route inquiries, and register new patients into the laboratory EMR. Schedule appointments, send and verify consents, and take payments while collaborating with the Ovation Billing team. Process and fax lab report results to referring physicians, perform data entry, and act as a liaison between lab staff and the medical team. Manage specimen transfers by collecting records and organizing shipments, and assist with administrative projects. Work with patients looking to transfer cryopreserved specimens and their originating clinics.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years previous experience in an administrative role
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and within deadlines
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use billing systems
Desired Qualifications

- Knowledge of medical software, terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of HIPAA Regulations
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to build and facilitate good working relationships with staff at all levels of organization
- Demonstrated ability with exercising sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
