Job Summary
Greet and assist patients and visitors professionally while registering patients, verifying insurance, and scheduling appointments. Collect copays and outstanding balances, verify eligibility, and process referrals. Manage check-in and checkout, scan documentation into the EHR, and handle phone inquiries. Collaborate with clinical staff and departments to ensure seamless care, manage supply ordering, and provide front office coverage as needed. This role supports the Dermatology team at Raleigh Medical Group, an established physician-led practice serving the Triangle for over 50 years.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency with the ability to learn electronic health record (EHR).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements

Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience in a medical office, physician practice, or healthcare customer service environment.
- Experience with patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and payment collection.
- Experience using electronic health record (EHR) and practice management systems.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
