Job Summary
Greets and registers all incoming patients professionally while handling communications concisely and courteously. Answers telephone promptly to take complete messages, provide information, and route callers properly. Schedules patient appointments for all physicians, confirming them one-day prior, and obtains accurate demographic and insurance information. Collects on patient accounts and co-payments, maintaining accurate petty cash accounting daily. Responds to inquiries regarding insurance or billing or refers callers to appropriate staff. Restocks workstations, maintains equipment, and facilitates location of records for physicians. Performs other duties as assigned. Requires six months of medical office experience and high school graduation. Hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Six months work experience in a medical office setting
