Job Summary
Patient Service Representative at Saint Alphonsus Health System in Nampa, ID, supporting Geriatric and Diabetes/Glycemic clinics. Responsibilities include checking in patients, collecting co-pays, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, updating information in the EPIC EHR, and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. The role supports a total of 5 providers and requires delivering a high-quality, empathetic customer service experience, with shifts offering four 10-hour days (Mon–Thu 7:00 AM–5:00 PM) or five 8-hour days (Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–5:00 PM). Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, quick learners with healthcare and/or EHR experience and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience required
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus
- Medical terminology preferred
- Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred
