Job Summary
Patient Service Representative handles patient check-in/check-out, verifies identity and demographic/insurance information, completes patient registration, obtains consents/authorizations, collects co-payments and post/payments, and performs end-of-day cash drawer closing. The role also involves communicating with patients and guests, informing them of delays, scheduling appointments, and providing exemplary customer service within Northwestern Medicine’s care system. Preferred experience includes healthcare setting familiarity, working knowledge of medical terminology, and bilingual ability.
