Job Summary
Patient Service Representative at University Hospitals Urgent Care. Responsibilities include greeting patients, managing front-office operations, assisting with administrative tasks, and supporting overall clinic workflow. Requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy healthcare setting. Tasks include insurance verification, communicating payment policies, determining and collecting patient financial responsibility, and traveling to other University Hospitals Urgent Care locations as required. Must ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance and perform general administrative duties with proficiency in EMR systems (EPIC preferred).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus
- 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferred
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidays
