Job Summary

Greet patients and families, collect and enter demographic and insurance information, collect payments associated with services rendered and reconcile daily services. Scheduling appointments, answering phones, and obtaining appropriate insurance referrals and authorizations as needed per insurance guidelines. Work with medical records, follow HIPAA regulations. Perform administrative tasks such as sorting mail, faxes, and documenting messages. EPIC check-in/check-out, verify contact information, and triage callers to nurses or on-call providers. Coordinate distribution of calls, participate in team huddles, maintain patient records and daily schedules, and assist with billing workqueues and reports. The role may involve rotating shifts including 7 AM–7 PM, 3–4 days per week, and weekends/holidays as needed. Desired skills include excellent verbal and written communication, confidentiality, professionalism, and strong customer service in a pediatric healthcare setting.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • At least one (1) year patient services representative experience in a role that consisted of health care, registration, physician billing, medical records, medical office work and relatable customer service.
