Job Summary
Patient Service Representative who serves as the first point of contact for patients, handling greeting/check-in/out, registering patients, confirming/updating demographic data, scheduling appointments, and supporting insurance coordination and billing. Responsible for courteous, professional communication across in-person, phone, and secure messaging channels; documenting interactions in the EMR; collecting necessary forms and IDs; and educating patients on financial assistance. Requires strong customer service skills, basic computer proficiency, teamwork, and a focus on privacy and PHI protection. Role is full-time (40 hours/week) located at Salt Lake Clinic, Salt Lake City, Utah. Benefits eligible; salary range $17.86-$23.22 hourly depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers
- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry
- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction
- Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI) of patients, members, and caregivers
