Job Summary
Patient Service Representative I handles front-desk responsibilities in a clinic setting: manages telephone communications, collects payments and co-payments at the time of exams, schedules walk-in/stat/SAME DAY appointments, cancels/reschedules no-shows, escorts patients, prints and assembles charts for Rad Technologists, and supports patient care with courteous service. Requires high school diploma or GED, at least six months of medical receptionist experience, strong customer service, multi-line phone skills, HIPAA knowledge, basic typing, familiarity with computers, and ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of six months experience as a medical receptionist
- Experience with customer service and multi-phone lines
- Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
