Patient Service Representative I

Creates the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record used by the healthcare team; verifies demographic, guarantor, and insurance information; collects co-pays and patient responsibilities; maintains confidentiality per HIPAA; checks in/registers patients; may schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups; educates patients on portal access and test preparations; provides extraordinary customer service, answers calls, and supports billing and financial discussions with patients; collaborates with physicians and staff to resolve issues and ensure compliant, efficient patient flow.
