Job Summary
The Patient Service Representative plays a crucial role in welcoming patients, ensuring enrollment documentation and insurance verification processes are efficient and accurate. Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments, greeting patients, facilitating patient registration, and managing customer service inquiries. The representative is also responsible for verifying insurance, conducting reminder calls, and ensuring the reception area is organized. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience is required, along with familiarity with standard medical field practices. Applicants should be committed to providing trauma-informed care and supporting patients with diverse identities.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical field
Desired Qualifications
- E-Clinical Works experience
- Spanish speaking preference
- Experience working in a community-based setting
Additional Requirements
- Must be available to work evening and weekend shifts
- Preference for individuals with experience working with patients who are LGTBQIA+ and/or have experienced homelessness, substance use, and/or mental health challenges
