Job Summary
The Patient Service Representative welcomes all customers entering the Health Care Center, assists with enrollment documentation and insurance verification, schedules follow-up appointments, registers new patients, checks in patients, and handles phone inquiries. Responsibilities include verifying insurance, assisting with registrations, directing patients to providers, managing co-payments and sliding-fee documentation, preparing medical insurance forms, using EHR/E-Clinical Works systems, handling demographic checks, and supporting a positive front-office environment with a trauma-informed, harm-reduction approach for diverse patient populations; Spanish-speaking ability preferred and evening/weekend availability may be required. The role supports the Primary Care team and ensures efficient daily operations of the clinic front office, including outreach for appointment reminders and coordination of patient transportation when needed.
