Job Summary
Answer telephone calls, screen callers, and transfer them to the appropriate department or retrieve messages. Check-in arriving patients, verify information, direct them to staff, and perform blood alcohol checks. Maintain a clean lobby, order supplies, and manage inventory. Collect fees, process payments, coordinate accounts receivable, and prepare client ID cards. Enter lab results, process urine analyses, and update medical records. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including fee reconciliations and client collateral tracking. Type correspondence and take meeting minutes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Three (3) years general secretarial experience
- Two-year business degree with one-year secretarial experience
- Effective communication skills
- Competency in basic medical assisting skills
- Ability to interact with patients
- Ability to assess and communicate psychological observations
- Positive, customer-focused approach
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong computer skills
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
