Job Summary
Patient Service Representative (PSR) for a per-diem, part-time float team role at VillageMD networks serving multiple clinics. Responsibilities include greeting patients and families, scheduling appointments and tests, answering phones professionally, collecting cash payments and issuing receipts, posting payments, and navigating multiple applications. The role requires accurate registration data handling, insurance verifications, updating patient information and HIPAA compliance, explaining forms and obtaining signatures, understanding insurance grids for services, routing to financial counselors when appropriate, scheduling diagnostic tests and procedures, reconciling daily payments and deposits, and performing general clerical duties. Strong communication with patients, co-workers, physicians, and office management is essential, as is flexibility to cover other locations as needed. Education requirement is a High School diploma or GED or equivalent; associate’s degree is preferred. English proficiency and basic computer skills are required; ability to commute to satellite offices as needed. Experience in medical office terminology is preferred. This is a part-time per-diem position located in Bend, Oregon with in-person work expectations.
