Job Summary
Patient Services Representative handles front-desk duties and coordinates with the care team to ensure a smooth patient experience in the PCMH model. Responsibilities include greeting patients, check-in/check-out, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility, registering patients, collecting and documenting payments, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA, and supporting daily operations through communication with Medical Assistants and providers. Requires strong customer service, bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, familiarity with AIDET framework, EHR systems knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of admin/front desk experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required
- Experience with AIDET customer service framework preferred
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems a plus
