Job Summary
Patient Service Representative handles patient check-in/check-out, registers data, verifies insurance, collects co-pays/coinsurance/deductibles, answers phones, assists with scheduling, and processes payments in an outpatient radiology setting. Duties include data entry, medical records assistance, ensuring accurate documentation, managing scheduling/workflow in eRIS, addressing patient and provider inquiries, resolving complaints, coordinating appointments, and supporting billing/claims workflows while delivering exceptional patient-centered service. Requires strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills; high school diploma or equivalent acceptable; healthcare environment experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- One plus year of experience providing exceptional customer service – healthcare environment preferred
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
