Job Summary
The Patient Service Representative - ENT is responsible for scheduling hospital and ambulatory admissions, coordinating pre-admission testing, entering diagnostic tests into the orders management system, and maintaining relationships with physicians and nursing staff. Essential functions include clerical duties such as faxing, photocopying, and filing, as well as demonstrating a working knowledge of patient procedures and insurance requirements. Candidates must have a High School/GED, be able to obtain Heart Saver certification, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED required
- Heart Saver certification within 90 days of hire required
- 0 – 1 years experience
Desired Qualifications
- 2-4 years experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail) preferred
- Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment preferred
- Experience with patient care equipment preferred
- Experience with EHR, Practice Management System and Departmental/Ancillary Systems preferred
