Job Summary
Greet patients and complete check-in procedures, including registration, data entry, insurance verification, and copay collection. Communicate with clinical staff to ensure office needs are met while answering phone calls, emails, and scheduling follow-up appointments. Manage clerical tasks such as distributing mail, filing, scanning, and managing the electronic fax inbox. Ensure patient data confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations. This role supports all office personnel and maintains a positive patient experience across in-person, telehealth, and phone interactions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage time effectively and respond timely to patients and/or visitors
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and understanding of patient privacy and ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to lead by example
- Excellent computer skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Understanding of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare related setting
