Job Summary
Greeting patients and families, scheduling appointments and hospital/ambulatory admissions, handling phone calls and directing calls appropriately, coordinating referrals, preparing charts for new patients, converting temporary to permanent records, requesting medical records, maintaining scheduling resources, managing supplies and clerical duties, and ensuring patient privacy. Works with physicians and nursing staff to facilitate visits, supports training for office staff, and utilizes EHRs and practice-management systems to maintain accurate patient information and efficient office operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED required
- Associate Degree preferred
- Heartsaver within 30 days of hire
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Must have accurate computer data entry skills
