Patient Service Representative provides front-desk customer service, handles patient pre-registration, admission, transfer, and discharge activities, and collects and records patient information including insurance, identification, and copayments. Responsibilities include assisting patients with registration forms, communicating costs of care, balancing cash drawer, maintaining confidentiality of patient information, coordinating with back-office staff, and ensuring a clean reception area. Requires effective communication, problem-solving, ability to interact with diverse individuals, and familiarity with medical records and billing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience is required.
