Job Summary
Oversee front desk operations by warmly greeting patients, managing appointment calendars, and coordinating check-ins while verifying insurance details. Answer incoming calls and emails, address patient inquiries, and assist with prescription refill requests. Collect and update demographic information, maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system, and organize medical documents. Monitor waiting area flow, inform staff of delays, and handle patient concerns empathetically while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Work full-time in a fast-paced cardiology practice environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
