Job Summary
Patient Service Representative at Allergy Partners Crestview, FL. Responsibilities include answering the telephone professionally, scheduling patient appointments, verifying demographics and insurance, collecting payments at the time of service, posting charges and payments, balancing daily transactions, preparing patient encounters, and facilitating referrals/test scheduling. Maintains patient charts, coordinates with clinical staff, greets patients, ensures paperwork is complete, and supports front-office duties. Requires knowledge of practice management and EMR systems, HIPAA compliance, and strong communication skills; CPR/OSHA/ HIPAA training completed within designated timeframes is expected. High school diploma required; minimum two years in a medical office or customer service role preferred. Bilingual is a plus but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office or customer service position
- High school diploma required
- Proficiency with practice management and electronic health record software; GE Centricity is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
