Patient Service Representative

Job Summary
Handle front desk operations for patient flow including greeting, scheduling, insurance verification, and billing. Register patients, answer calls, prepare the office for daily operations, verify demographics/insurance, collect payments, post charges, balance cash drawer, prepare deposits, and ensure accurate patient charts and documentation in the EMR. Coordinate with providers for referrals, test scheduling, and patient follow-up appointments while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office or customer service position
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with scheduling and rearranging appointments effectively
- Working knowledge of practice management and electronic health record software (GE Centricity a plus)
- Bi-lingual is a plus, not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
