Job Summary
Patient Service Representative handles advanced scheduling for patients (appointments, procedures, endoscopy, and ancillary services), maintains accurate patient information, coordinates physician and endoscopy block times, responds to patient inquiries via phone, portal, or website, mails information packets to new patients, and supports HIPAA compliance, with emphasis on high-quality patient care, productivity, and cross-functional communication. Role requires remote-work capability with a quiet home workspace and reliable internet; prior experience in a gastroenterology or specialty clinic and fluency in English (bilingual skills preferred) are advantageous. The position involves customer service, data entry, calendar coordination, and collaboration with clinical staff and management.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred
- strong customer service skills
- typing 45 words per minute
- 2-3 years of call center, eCW, specialty clinic, or gastroenterology experience preferred
- computer literate with healthcare systems and Microsoft Office
