Job Summary

Patient Service Representative responsible for patient registration, collecting current and overdue charges, printing receipts, securing cash, reconciling daily charges, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance. Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting, travel to other clinics to cover shifts as required, operate office equipment, and follow clinic policies. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred) and at least one year of customer service experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and strong written/verbal communication skills are essential; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Role involves indoor, 8-hour shifts with significant computer use, frequent telephone work, and occasional physical activity including lifting up to 25 lbs. Reports to Practice Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • At least one year’s customer service experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred not required
