Patient Service Rep - University Palliative Care

Job Summary

Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations and serve as the primary point of contact between patients and providers. Respond to inquiries, schedule appointments and referrals, and document all communications in the electronic medical record (Cerner). Monitor test results, process medication prior authorizations, and track clinical and operational metrics including patient volumes and no-shows. Maintain accurate documentation, manage office supplies, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize workflows. Participate in ongoing training and other duties as assigned by the Office Supervisor. This role supports both patient care and administrative functions within the University Palliative Care team at the UT Medical Center - Cancer Institute.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent multitasking, time management, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
  • At least 6 months of experience in a medical office setting
